Spelling list: -ore - longer words

If the sound /or/ is on the end of a word it is usually spelled -ore.

adore	I adore your new dress.
before	Clean your shoes before you pack them. *
deplore	I deplore your bad manners.
explore	Let's explore that old building.
galore	There were apples galore on the tree.
ignore	Kevin chose to ignore the warning. *
implore	We implore you to stop that awful noise.
restore	We want to buy and restore an old house.
therefore	Tom is a minor and therefore too young to vote.
carnivore	A carnivore eats only meat.
herbivore	A herbivore eats only plants. *
