This is a list of vocabulary that you should be using in your speaking and writing within geography, however they are not just geography words and can be used in all of your subjects.

accumulation Accumulation is the gradual gathering of something. *
radiation Radiation is the release of energy. *
yield Yield is the amount of a farm product. *
frequency Frequency is how often something happens. *
fluctuation Fluctuation is when something rises and falls in number. *
vulnerable Vulnerable means exposed to harm. *
enhance To enhance is to increase. *
interconnected When things are interconnected it means they are all linked together. *
emission Emission is the production and release of something. *
absorb To absorb is to take something in. *
molten Molten means melted. *
distinctive Something that is distinctive has a special quality or feature which makes it easily recognizable and different from other things of the same type. e.g Bart Simpson has a very distinctive voice. *
renewable If something is renewable it means it will not run out. *
scarcity Scarcity is the state of being in short supply. *
deficit Deficit is when there is not enough of something. *
surplus Surplus is when there is too much of something. *
cyclical Something is cyclical when it happens again and again. *
abundant If something is abundant it occurs in large quantities. *
exponential Exponential is when something increases rapidly. *
transition Transition is the process of change. *
