myth A myth is a story that may be untrue.

valour British English spelling He was given a medal for his valour.
bravery I admire her bravery.
jousting A game between two horsemen wielding lances often as part of a tournament. *
duel The swordsmen fought a duel.
medieval American English spelling but is sometimes accepted as British spelling The middle ages (roughly 1000 - 1500). *
dialogue British English spelling but is sometimes accepted as American spelling The dialogue between the characters is very realistic.
symbol The cross is a symbol of Christianity.
