  2. ie and ei words: rulebreakers

    ‘I before E except after C’ is one of the most famous English spelling rules, but does it always work? 

    Like all spelling rules, it has its exceptions.

  3. Colours  

    Regular readers of our blog will know that earlier this year we looked at the word origins of different colours as part of our Word for Wednesday feature. Practise spelling basic colours here, or – if you're in the mood for a challenge –  try spelling these more complex colours here.
